Sandy Robinson and members of the Waves of Hope Dragon Boat Team presented a $1000 cheque to the BRHC Foundation for the Western MB Cancer Centre. This donation was one of several that were made to various Chemotherapy Units in Manitoba to help cancer patients on their treatment journey.

The Waves of Hope Dragon Boat Team was formed in 1999 by a group of breast cancer survivors from the Brandon area. Today, the team has grown to include breast cancer survivors and supporters from 12 communities located in the Westman and Parkland regions. The team gathers at Minnedosa Lake every Wednesday night for practice during paddling season and participates in events throughout the year.
