On Saturday, September 21, our 32nd Annual Gala Dinner & Dance was held at the Victoria Inn. It was another very successful event, making it the largest fundraiser of the 2024 year! It was a great way to raise money for a good cause while enjoying a great meal, great conversation, and a great performance by the Graydon Cramer Band! Thank you to all of our attendees, sponsors, and our Gala committee for making it another successful year.

Thanks to all who attended, sponsored, and donated, we raised $33 907.42 and were able to purchase 5 different piece of equipment for the Brandon Regional Health Centre:

1. Amnesty Lockers for the Emergency Department – These lockers will be an additional security feature for our Emergency Room. Anyone who comes tot he ER will place their belongings into these lockers, which will be monitored by security.

2. Blood Pressure Machine for Telehealth – During telehealth calls, the physician wants to know the patient’s  blood pressure during the call. This will provide the opportunity for the physician to see it in real time in order to provide better care.

3. Four thermometers with wall mounts for the Emergency Department – These will be mounted with easy access for staff to take/monitor patient temperatures.

4. BIPAP Machine for Respiratory Therapy – This noninvasive ventilation device will help patients breathe better and provide the respiratory therapy team with access to new BIPAP Machines.

5. Sara Lift for 400/500 medical inpatient units – This will help in assisting a patient from sitting to standing with reduced risks. This helps the staff provide safe, more efficient care for the patients.
